Lola Young, Steve Lacy and Odd Future alumni will be joining Tyler at the Dodger Stadium this November.

In the UK especially, we tend to think of festival season being a summertime affair. Camp Flog Gnaw, however, provides a much-needed injection of fun into the wintertime. 

Taking place 14-15 November at LA’s Dodger Stadium, Camp Flog Gnaw is a music festival and carnival curated by none other than Tyler, The Creator. As you’d expect from an event curated by a  figure dubbed ‘The Creator’, both the line-up and the extra-curriculars on offer across the weekend are buzzy and full of whimsy.

Starting with the line-up, Tyler, The Creator will of course be taking to the stage himself, joined by a roster of other genre-spanning artists. We’re talking everyone from British indie powerhouse Lola Young, to buzzy band Wallows and María Zardoya’s introspective Not For Radio project. With it being Tyler’s festival, hip-hop sits at the heart of Camp Flog Gnaw, so other performers include Steve Lacy, 2hollis, Future and fellow Odd Future — that’s Tyler’s old hip-hop collective — alum, Earl Sweatshirt. 

Aside from the music, Camp Flog Gnaw has plenty of other whimsical activities on offer. One look at the name — an inverted spin-off of ‘Wolf Gang’, derived from the rapper’s former hip-hop collective, Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All — will tell you that much. Expect carnival games, food and drink trucks and the infamous oversized ferris wheel (that’s a big wheel, to us Brits).
