‘OH NO!! ALL THE BOYS!!’ captures ’90s house euphoria, while staying true to the artist’s signature upbeat, clubby style.

MNEK has been gaining a lot of attention recently, and deservedly so. In the last few weeks alone, the singer headlined London Pride and released ‘REVERSE!!’, the first single from BULLDOZER!! — his first full-length release since 2018.

Today (24 July), marks the release of MNEK’s second BULLDOZER!! single, ‘OH NO!! ALL THE BOYS!!’. As the title would suggest, the track is a tongue-in-cheek reflection of the singer’s love life. While he admits that “there’s not a great deal of lyrics,” that’s kind of the whole point. It’s sweaty, pulsating club music with a catchy hook — Shakespeare-level soliloquy is simply not necessary. 

Taking its cue from ’90s house music, the track was co-produced with Jon Shave, who’s also worked with MNEK’s former collaborator, Zara Larsson, as well as Charli xcx — so it’s safe to say he’s kind of a big deal. The dance-pop influence runs strong in ‘OH NO!! ALL THE BOYS!!’, while ‘REVERSE!!’ leaned more heavily into R&B — a testament to MNEK’s versatility, leaving us desperate to know what the rest of BULLDOZER!! has to offer.

Alongside the single, the official video for ‘OH NO!! ALL THE BOYS!!’ also landed today. As high-energy as the song itself, it captures MNEK having the time of their life on stage at the BULLDOZER!! BALL in New York, and spotlights a whole host of stylish dancers vogue-ing to the vibey single. Fun, upbeat and infused with a dash of self-awareness, ‘OH NO!! ALL THE BOYS!!’ has potential to to be the song of the summer, even if there’s only one month left of it.
