It’s an alt-rock summer, baby. Queen of pop Charli XCX said so herself, so it must be true. If you’re on the hunt for sexy new rock bangers to see you through the heatwave, then you’re going to want to check out D3lta’s new album, Mad About It. 

The Greek artist’s debut album pulls influences from everyone from Talking Heads and David Bowie to Twenty One Pilots. It holds themes like mental health, youth disillusionment and good old fashioned yearning (bring back the days of hand-written letters and pining for long-distance lovers, please).

Written between London, Los Angeles and Athens, the album pulls together influences from different eras of D3lta’s life, and he describes it as “a sonic print of who I am as an artist.”

The record includes his breakout single from 2022, ‘Strange’, the ultra-cinematic ‘Daydream’ and head-banging title track ‘Mad About It’. Equal parts introspective and chaotic, Mad About It is an elegant smorgasbord of musical influences, with input from producers like Neil Ormandy and John Nathaniel, who’ve worked with the likes of James Arthur and Gwen Stefani.
